Golden Milk

Golden Milk is a wonderful sleep aid that contains many soothing herbs.

Turmeric is anti-inflammatory. Ginger reduces pain. Cinnamon is filled with anti-oxidants and is believed to support heart health and reduce inflammation.

Try a cup of this relaxing tea 1-hour before you go to sleep.

Ingredients

3 cups coconut milk (almond milk also works)

1 1/2 tsp ground turmeric

1/4 tsp ground ginger

1 whole cinnamon stick (or 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon)

1 tbsp coconut oil

1 pinch ground black pepper

Optional:  sweetener of choice (i.e. maple syrup, coconut sugar, or stevia to taste)

Directions

Add all the ingredients to a sauce pan, cook on medium heat for 5-minutes, and stir well before serving.
