Spring Detox Tea

This tea will aid in digestion and help balance your sugar cravings.

  • 1 tsp Rose Hips

  • 1 tbsp Holy Basil

  • 1 tbsp Spearmint

  • 1 tsp Lemon Myrtle

  • 1 tsp Linden Blossom

  • 4-6 cups of water

Steep:  5-minutes

 This tea is great for clearing sinus and chest congestion, as well and flushing out your liver.  It’s caffeine free and can be enjoyed any time of day.

Digestive Tea

This tea will aid in digestion and help ease stress.  It can be enjoyed throughout the day or 30-minutes prior to eating.

  • ½ Lemon fresh squeezed

  • 1 inch Ginger Root

  • 3 tbsp Lavender

  • 2 tbsp Honey

  • 4 – 6 cups of water

Steep:  5-minutes

Spring Detox Health Drink

This drink is a great detox for your liver which manages the removal of toxins from your bloodstream. It’s hydrating, anti-inflammatory, and refreshing for your skin. 

  • 1/2 cup chopped pineapple (3-4 pieces)

  • 3 leaves fresh mint

  • 1 lemon, juiced (fresh squeezed)

  • 1 tsp honey

  • 1 inch of ginger, chopped

  • A pinch of cayenne pepper

  • 8 cups of water

Add ingredients to an infuser pitcher and let sit for 2-3 hours or add all ingredients to a blender and run on high for 90-seconds.

Breakfast Bread

This nourishing, fibrous bread is a great way to start your morning.

  • 3 bananas

  • ¾ cup of all-purpose gluten free flour

  • 1 cup tapioca flour

  • ½ cup chia seed

  • 1 ½ tsp baking soda

  • 1 cup honey

  • 1 tbsp salt

  • 1 lemon

  • 2 cups blueberries, blackberries and/or raspberries

  • 2 tbsp water

In a blender, process the chia seeds into a rough flour, then add the bananas, flour, baking soda, honey, salt, juice from one lemon, and water.  Once brought to a smooth consistency, pour into a bowl and stir in the berries.  Add mix to a bread pan and bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.  Let it sit 10-minutes before serving (it tastes even better the next morning).

Gluten Free Oatmeal Cookies

  • 1 ½ cup almond flour

  • 1 ¼ tsp xanthan gum

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • ½ tsp sea salt

  • ½ cup chocolate chips

  • ½ cup raisins

  • ¼ cup chopped almonds

  • ½ cup coconut sugar

  • ½ cup light brown sugar

  • 2 ½ cups gluten free rolled oats

  • 10 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tsp almond extract

Add flour, xanthan gum, baking soda, salt, both sugars, and rolled oats into a bowl and stir together.  In a blender, combine the butter, eggs, vanilla and almond extract.  Slowly add the liquid to the dry bowl and blend until they are well mixed.  Stir in the chocolate chips, raisins, and chopped almonds.

On a cookie sheet, place golf ball sized pieces of dough 2 inches apart (this mix will make approx. 24 cookies).  Place in the freezer for 15-minutes while the oven warms to 350 degrees.  Bake the cookies for about 12 minutes.

Note:  this dough holds well in the freezer

Date Energy Balls

  • 1 cup almonds

  • 2 cups dates

  • 3 tbsp almond butter

  • 3 tbsp coconut oil

In a blender, crush the almonds (you want some powder and some larger chunks).  Then, add the dates & coconut oil and pulse to a creamy consistency (add a tbsp. of water if need).  Next, add the almond butter and pulse until well mixed.

Spoon out the blend into 1-inch balls on a cookie sheet and freeze for 1-hour.  Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator.
