Yellow Dal Soup
- 4 cups yellow lentils 
- 4 cloves of garlic (diced) 
- 1 tsp cumin 
- 1 tsp turmeric 
- A pinch of cayenne 
- A pinch of black pepper 
- 4 cups of vegetable stock 
- 4 tbsp EVOO 
- 1 lemon 
- Parsley to taste 
Directions
In a soup pot, add the EVOO, garlic, cumin, turmeric, cayenne pepper, and black pepper and stir on medium heat for 3-minutes. Then add the lentils and stir for another 2-minutes. Add the vegetable stock and let it cook for 30 to 45-minutes. When ready to serve, squeeze the juice of a fresh lemon on top of the soup (1 lemon per bowl) and dress with parsley.
Digestive Tea
- ½ Lemon, juiced 
- 1 inch ginger root 
- 1 tsp honey 
- 4 – 6 cups of water 
Steep: 5-minutes then stain and serve
This tea will aid in digestion. It can be enjoyed throughout the day or 30-minutes prior to eating.
